About the Role We seek a self-directed and experienced Finance and Accounts professional to lead and oversee all financial/accounting operations and the accounts team. This is an exciting opportunity for someone with initiative, financial expertise and leadership skills willing to take up the challenge to scale up and evolve robust and efficient financial and accounting processes. As a trusted advisor to top management,the incumbent is expected to provide strategic insights for informed decision making and recommendations for ensuring financial health of the company. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Accounting of all financial transactions and Finalisation of accounts Manage the accounting operations in an efficient and process-based manner viz. Payments (account payables)/ Collections (account receivables)/Bank Reconciliation/ Accounts maintenance - ensuring timeliness, accuracy and completeness Ensure accounting policies , financial processes are in adherence to accounting standards . Oversee banking relationships including negotiating terms Monitor cash flow and liquidity, and take steps to optimise position Budgeting Internal controls Establish and maintain robust internal controls in the processes Financial Reporting and Analysis Finalisation of Balance Sheet, P&L, Cash Flow statements, MIS report (monthly,quarterly, half yearly, annual) in accordance with reporting requirements Monitor key financial metrics , conduct analysis and provide recommendations for financial performance improvement, potential cost savings and support decision making Liaise with external auditors to facilitate statutory audits and drive corrective actions for identified issues Tax Planning and Compliance Ensure that tax (direct and indirect) and regulatory payments, returns and filing are up to date and compliant. Develop a Checklist for Compliance, Validation of income, control on expenditure Optimize the company's tax strategies while ensuring compliance SEBI Compliances Ensure SEBI Compliances Funds management Manage company funds in line with investment guidelines Process Improvements and Automation Drive process improvement and automation efforts to bring in greater efficiency Risk Management: Identify , assess financial risks and recommend steps to protect company assets, and financial stability Payroll Processing Ensure timely and efficient Payroll processing, timely payouts and drive policies for tax optimisation for employees Team Management Drive all team management related activities viz. team structuring, work allocation, hiring, performance management, team development EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS CA/CWA or Masters in accounting, finance related or Part Qualified with 10-12 years experience Experience mix from a large /mid size as well as a small company across all financial processes Proficiency with Excel /Tally/ Applications like Zoho Books. Experience in handling a team.
