Job Description
Test Lead I - SQAWhat you will doIn this role, you will be part of product development team to manage & deliver new product functionalities, modify existing products functionalities or verify product functionalities as required.The SQA Test Lead II will lead and provide supervision and technical guidance to Manual & Automation software test team in design, testing, and delivery of the products under development/support.You will work within a multi-disciplined engineering team consisting of electronics engineers, firmware engineers, software engineers, programmers and scientists focusing on applied research and new technology innovations to provide new and improved products and solutions for our customers.How you will do it
- Independently owns generating Test plans, Test architecture, Test environment including all necessary hardwares and test cycles through automated tests or manual test processes.
- Works in coordination with technical leads/DM/ EMs/ Architects on Design, development, testing, support to maintain desired quality levels set by organization
- Ensures Test Setup & Hardware Setup are planned for testing
- Takes Ownership, motivates and guide the team when faced with technical challenges.
- Review product requirements, NFRs and design specifications to ensure software development and test plans are aligned with PFS
- Focus on process improvements & ensures configuration management is taken care.
- Takes immediate and whenever necessary, independent action to resolve issues or problems in a timely manner in co-ordination with EMs/DMs.
- Investigates new / emerging technologies, innovations, and opportunities, increases Product knowledge to gather Insights.
What we look for
- Strong Experience in LAbview
- Strong analytical skills and experience with implementation and administration of Software Quality Assurance metrics, such as defect profiles and performance to entry/exit criteria.
- Excellent problem solving, interpersonal communication and project management skills.
- Strong knowledge of creating test Setups meeting products requirements, NFRs, emulator/simulators for non-testable features.
- Good to have Test Estimation Techniques experience or Project management experience.
- Adherence to Cost, Quality and Schedule of assigned projects with a key focus on product quality.
- Prepares Test Reports & Summary reports for manual/automation tests, provides improvements on Products features, overall process.
- Familiarization with any automation testing and controlled automated environments using software tools such as Test complete, Jenkins, Selenium with Python, Appium etc
- Experience in Python Scripting and Windows SW application testing
- Understanding of software analysis, design and testing techniques
- A good team player and contribute Individually for Project milestones.
- Good Experience in working with AGILE testing methodology
- A professional, results oriented individual with a high degree of self-motivation
Education and Preference:
- BE (CSE/ECE/EIE/ETC, Instrumentation)
- Minimum (10-12)years of experience in System testing & application software testing , Mobile/Web testing.
- Experience or Verification/Validation experience in both Manual and Automation
- Experience in Fire Detection products domain including Web/cloud/ Mobile will be an added advantage
- Good to Have: ISTQB Certification (Foundation level/ Advanced Level)
- Good to have: People Management experience but not necessary
