Job Description:
As a DevOps Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, andmanaging cloud infrastructure and services that support our financial trading platforms. Yourexpertise in AWS and related technologies will be crucial in ensuring high availability, scalability, andsecurity of our systems. You will work closely with development teams to optimize performance andintegrate advanced observability tools to maintain operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Cloud Infrastructure Management: Design, deploy, and manage AWS services including EKS,
RDS, S3, Lambda, and Kafka to support trading applications.
- Networking and Security: Configure and manage AWS networking components (VPC,
subnets, security groups) and implement security best practices across cloud infrastructure.
- Observability and Monitoring: Utilize observability tools (ELK stack, Prometheus, Grafana,
OpenTelemetry) to monitor application performance and ensure system reliability.
- DevSecOps Practices: Integrate security into the DevOps pipeline, implementing automated
security scans and compliance checks.
- Application Debugging: Troubleshoot and debug application issues, ensuring high
performance and minimal downtime.
- Database Management: Manage and optimize relational databases, ensuring data integrity
and performance for financial applications.
- Collaboration: Work closely with development teams to support CI/CD processes,
infrastructure as code, and application deployment.
Requirements:
- Experience: Minimum of 4-12 years in a Cloud DevOps role with a strong focus on AWS
technologies.
- Technical Skills:
- Deep knowledge of AWS services, including EKS, RDS, S3, Lambda, and Kafka.
- Strong experience with AWS networking, security, and infrastructure management.
- Proficiency in observability tools such as ELK stack, Prometheus, Grafana, and
OpenTelemetry.
- Experience with DevSecOps practices and integrating security into the development
lifecycle.
- Proficient in application debugging and troubleshooting.
- Strong experience with Java and understanding of database management (SQL and
NoSQL).
- Domain Knowledge: Solid understanding of financial or trading systems and their specific
requirements and challenges.
Education:
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. Advanced
certifications (AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, AWS Certified Solutions Architect, etc.) are aplus.Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working in a high-frequency trading or financial services environment.
- Familiarity with other cloud platforms or technologies is a plus.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced
environment.
