Job Description
Role & responsibilities
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Finance Manager to lead our finance and compliance function. The ideal candidate will be a qualified Chartered Accountant (CA) with Company Secretary (CS) credentials, with a strong understanding of accounting, financial planning, regulatory compliance, and investor support.
This role is critical to ensure strong internal controls, statutory compliance, budgetary discipline, and smooth facilitation of audits, funding, and corporate governance processes.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Accounting & Financial Control
- Manage day-to-day accounting, reconciliation, and book-keeping in accordance with IND-AS standards.
- Oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual closing of accounts.
- Lead internal and statutory audits; liaise with external auditors and consultants.
- Prepare financial statements, MIS reports, and Board-level financial summaries
2. Compliance & Secretarial
- Ensure timely compliance with statutory filings under Companies Act, FEMA, Income Tax, and GST.
- Maintain secretarial records, ROC filings, and Board resolutions.
- Manage contracts, NDAs, and other legal documentation in coordination with legal advisors
3. Fundraising & Investor Support
- Prepare financial data and models to support fundraising and investor presentations.
- Conduct financial due diligence and support deal execution alongside founders.
Preferred candidate profile
- Qualification:
Chartered Accountant (CA) + Company Secretary (CS)
- Experience:
36 years of post-qualification experience, preferably in a startup, fintech, or regulated entity
- Core Skills:
Strong command over accounting standards, compliance frameworks, financial modelling, MIS reporting, and corporate governance
- Tools & Platforms:
Proficiency in Tally, Zoho Books, QuickBooks, Microsoft Excel, MCA portal, GST portal, and income tax filing utilities
- Soft Skills:
High integrity, strong sense of ownership, analytical thinking, and ability to collaborate across functions in a fast-paced, evolving environment
