: "Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled SAP BusinessObjects Administrator to join our IT team. The BOBJ Administrator will be responsible for the administration, maintenance, and support of our SAP BusinessObjects environment. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in managing BOBJ servers, configuring security settings, and providing technical support to end-users. This role requires a strong understanding of BOBJ architecture, report development, and system troubleshooting.
Responsibilities:
1. **Environment Management:**
- Install, configure, and maintain SAP BusinessObjects servers and components.
- Monitor server health, performance, and resource utilization to ensure optimal system functioning.
- Collaborate with infrastructure teams to ensure hardware and software requirements are met.
2. **Migration**
- Design, plan and migrate BOBJ, BODS, IS from one platform to other along with DB and OS changes
- Provide end-to-end support during the migration phase.
3. **User and Security Administration:**
- Manage user accounts, groups, and security settings in SAP BusinessObjects.
- Implement and enforce security policies, roles, and permissions for BOBJ content.
- Provide user training and support related to BOBJ security and access issues.
4. **Report and Dashboard Support:**
- Assist in report and dashboard development, troubleshooting, and performance optimization.
- Provide technical guidance and support to end-users and report developers.
- Address user queries and issues related to BOBJ reports and dashboards.
5. **Backup and Recovery:**
- Establish and maintain backup and recovery procedures for BOBJ content and configurations.
- Perform regular backups and conduct recovery operations in case of data loss or system failures.
6. **Upgrades and Patch Management:**
- Plan and execute BOBJ software upgrades, patches, and hotfix installations.
- Collaborate with vendors and internal teams to stay current with software updates and security patches.
7. **Documentation and Knowledge Sharing:**
- Document system configurations, troubleshooting procedures, and best practices.
- Provide training and knowledge-sharing sessions for end-users and report developers.
8. **Change management:**
- Work with the development team and design a prudent change management process.
- Support the change management process
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
Proven experience as a SAP BusinessObjects Administrator, including server installations, upgrades, and security configurations.
Strong knowledge of SAP BusinessObjects tools, including Web Intelligence, Crystal Reports, Lumira, and Dashboard Design (Xcelsius).
Familiarity with SAP HANA and data integration concepts.
Experience in troubleshooting and optimizing BOBJ reports and dashboards for performance.
Strong SQL skills and experience working with databases.
Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
SAP BusinessObjects certifications (optional but beneficial).
