Job Description
About the Role:
InRisk Labs is building a first-of-its-kind AI-native parametric insurance platform that transforms how insurers and governments manage climate and disaster risks. As a Full Stack Developer with Backend Specialization, you will build the server-side logic, APIs, and cloud-based infrastructure powering our AI-enabled parametric insurance platform. You will collaborate with frontend, AI, and product teams to ensure that complex insurance workflows are securely and efficiently executed at scale.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and implement scalable REST APIs to support product configuration, pricing, and claims workflows
- Develop backend modules to power AI recommendation, rule-based pricing, and real-time monitoring
- Ensure robust integration with external systems (e.g., insurer core platforms) via secure APIs
- Optimize performance, latency, and uptime through scalable cloud deployment
- Collaborate on infrastructure setup and maintenance (CI/CD, monitoring, alerting)
Must-Have Skills:
- Proficiency in Python with FastAPI or Django
- Strong experience with cloud platforms (GCP and/or AWS), Docker, and Kubernetes
- Database design and performance optimization using PostgreSQL or MongoDB
- Hands-on with Git, CI/CD tools, and automated deployment workflows
Good-to-Have:
- Experience working with insurance, fintech, or API-based SaaS systems
- Familiarity with event-driven architecture or serverless backends
