The Database Site Reliability Engineer will focus on architecture, design and implementation of database solutions crafted for service reliability and/or cloud deployments besides striving for operational excellence. The Database & Business Platform Services team is looking for a highly motivated Database Site Reliability Engineer to join the team. The team provides reliable, scalable, and secured databases and ERP environments by collaborating with global multi-functional IT and Engineering teams using next-gen tools, processes, and personnel.

We are looking for talented and seeking individuals who are looking to assist in improving the way we use database for our operations. As a Database Site Reliability Engineer, you will need prior experience working on databases and ensuring that they are crafted and developed to our standards. You will also need to know about agile framework as well as CI/CD frameworks. Skillsets that relate to administration would be a plus for the team. The Database Site Reliability Engineer position is required to have all applicants to have a bachelor s degree in Computer Science, a related field, or have some relevant work experience.

• Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, a related field, or relevant work experience.
• Administration of Oracle Databases especially 12c,19c with hands-on experience on support & implementation high availability & disaster recovery with Oracle Grid, Data Guard, etc.
• Hands-on experience in Oracle EBS R12, Fusion Middleware administration, DB & ERP-Apps side performance tuning.
• Ability to perform Oracle ERP DB & apps cloning, installation, configuration, patching, upgrades on Cisco UCS/Linux and Support 3rd party apps.

• 7+ years of IT experience in Oracle ASM & RAC, Oracle Active Data Guard, RMAN backup/recovery, Enterprise Manager Cloud Control 12c; Shell & SQL, PL/SQL scripting skills; performance tuning, capacity planning, & DB space management.
• Experience on Oracle ERP APPS DBA administration task.
• Experience on SQL in software design and development with Python and Angular/JS.
• Experience in Scaled Agile Framework, Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery framework along with exposure to toolset such as Jenkins, Git/BitBucket and JIRA.
• Good understanding of Site Reliability Engineering concepts and ability to implement the concepts to meet desired SLA/SLO/SLI and build resilient DB platforms at scale.
• Knowledge and operational experience of NOSQL databases like Cassandra, MongoDB, MySQL, or PostgreSQL will be an added advantage.
• Golden Gate replication administration skillset will be an added plus.
