System Architect

Location : Bangalore

This position is a permanent position with our client (US Based Semiconductor Product Company with revenue more than 30 Billion USD)

As a System Architect in the System Architecture and Modeling Group , you will work with the memory industry's leading architecture team on new concepts that will shape the future of electronic systems.

Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to :

• Developing and maintaining simulation tools, models, and environments, commercial and in-house.
• Working with customers, other architects, and design teams to identify requirements and needed features for a wide range of system simulation scenarios.
• Delivery of new features, tools, productivity enhancements, and performance improvements.
• Developing and characterizing stimulus for system-level simulations.
• Creating novel methods for visualizing and analyzing simulation output.

These activities will entail choosing the appropriate simulation tools/environment; constructing or modifying component models including memory devices, controllers, interconnects, and processors; verification, generating or acquiring relevant workloads; constructing performance monitoring. Candidates should have strong knowledge of hardware systems modeling including modeling languages and development of cycle-approximate models for interconnects and memory controllers in large SoC projects while working in a collaborative environment.

Successful candidate for this position will have :

• Must have C/C++ and SystemC experience; SystemVerilog and Python experience is a plus.
• Must have an understanding of how to use the C++ Standard Template Library (STL).
• Experience with data visualization and analysis tools.
• Exposure to software development practices.
• Experience in modeling for hardware systems.
• A strong knowledge through academic coursework or experience in DRAM and NAND memory systems, as well as other memory types is preferred.
• Exposure to various bus protocols (AMBA, CoreConnect, OCP) and network on chip.
• Exposure to ARM based processors is preferred.
• Strong exposure to bus performance analysis and design tradeoffs.
• Ability to quickly react and adapt to changes based on modeling results.
• Strong exposure to micro-architecture analysis and implementation.
• Excellent problem solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Excellent verbal communication and written skills.
• Must be highly organized and self-motivated.
• Must be a strong individual contributor as well as a team player.
