Job Description
Job Role:SAP Blackline Specialist
Key Purpose of the Role Key Terms of Reference:
- Knowledge of Blackline Application with specialization in Account Reconciliation and Journal modules.
- It would be preferred if the candidate have knowledge of financial close management and intercompany.
- Design and implement streamlined processes to enhance operational efficiency and effectiveness.
- Collaborate with stakeholders across finance, and operations to gather requirements and align on process improvements.
- Configure and customize systems to meet business requirements and ensure seamless integration across platforms.
- Define data requirements and oversee data migration activities during system implementations.
- Develop and maintain dashboards and reports.
- Analyse data to identify trends, monitor key performance indicators (KPIs), and drive data-driven decisions.
- Should have done at least one E2E implementation project.
- Knowledge of integration with different ERPs like SAP and Oracle.
- Experience in Agile development practices preferred
- Prior knowledge of handling IT Controls for operational systems holding finance data
- Willing to work in UK time zone
- Strong communication skills, and ability to influence stakeholders
- Good understanding of financial cycle knowledge
Summary Description for the Role:The role holder will be part of the Blackline engineering team within BT Technology, and is responsible for designing and building solutionsKey responsibilities are:
- Config and Design in Blackline
- Integration with SAP
- Ability to take ownership of solutions, from design stage to deployment.
- Support testing CIT/E2E/UAT
- Analyse code and review designs
- Experience on cloud platforms a plus
- Work with geographically diverse development teams
- Stakeholder management
- Work in Agile and Waterfall delivery models
- Conduct Show & Tells with business users, propose solutions which provide business value to users.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor/masters degree from recognized institutions
- Proven experience of 3-5 years in Blackline.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively across functions and levels of an organization.
- Functional knowledge of financial process.
