Job Description:We are looking for a skilled Backend Developer with strong expertise in Kotlin and Java, to join our team working for a prestigious client, American Express, at their Taramani, Chennai location. The ideal candidate should have solid experience in server-side programming, microservices architecture, and a deep understanding of object-oriented programming (OOPs) principles.
Key Responsibilities:Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend systems using Kotlin and Java.
Build and manage microservices-based architecture for high-performance applications.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.
Write clean, maintainable, and testable code.
Perform code reviews and maintain code quality using tools like SonarQube.
Use GitHub for version control and collaboration.
Write and maintain unit tests using JUnit to ensure software quality and performance.
Required Skills:Strong proficiency in Kotlin and Java.Hands-on experience in server-side programming.
Experience with microservices development and architecture.
Excellent understanding of OOPs concepts and design patterns.
Familiarity with version control systems, particularly GitHub.
Knowledge of JUnit for testing.
Experience using SonarQube for code quality analysis.
Good problem-solving and analytical skills.
Strong communication and collaboration skills.
Preferred Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
Prior experience working in a fintech or large-scale enterprise environment is a plus.
