As the Engineering Manager - Mobile , you will lead and empower our Mobile CoE Engineering team, ensuring the delivery of high-quality, scalable mobile applications aligned with business goals. This role combines technical expertise, strategic leadership, and people management to foster a culture of excellence, collaboration, and innovation. You ll partner with cross-functional teams to align engineering efforts with company objectives while driving team performance, nurturing talent, and adopting industry best practices.
What You Will Do
Key Responsibilities: Leadership & People Management
Inspire and lead squads and individuals working on diverse mobile products
Mentor and support team members, fostering career growth and well-being while cultivating a collaborative, performance-driven culture.
Conduct regular 1:1s, provide feedback, and drive personal development
Own recruitment, onboarding, and training efforts to attract top talent and ensure seamless integration into the team.
Manage team dynamics, including attrition, workload balance, and long-term growth plans.
Strategic Execution & Delivery
Oversee the end-to-end mobile development lifecycle, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality applications.
Collaborate with senior leadership, product management, and other stakeholders to align engineering efforts with business objectives.
Champion agile methodologies, CI/CD pipelines, and automated testing to ensure engineering excellence.
Drive the go-forward Mobile platform strategy through adoption of standard processes and reusable components across teams to improve productivity and scalability.
Technical Expertise & Problem Solving
Serve as a technical mentor, guiding teams on iOS and Android architecture, frameworks (Swift, Kotlin, cross-platform), and best practices.
Engage in estimation, risk mitigation, and troubleshooting to support project success.
Leverage cloud platforms (Azure/AWS) and DevOps tools (e.g., Kubernetes, CI/CD) to build robust, scalable solutions.
Stakeholder Collaboration & Reporting
Work closely with Product Owners, Directors of Engineering, and cross-functional teams to plan resources, timelines, and budgets.
Regularly track and report program/project KPIs, team performance, and progress to key stakeholders.
Drive alignment between technical execution and overarching business strategy.

What You Will Have
Qualifications:
Proven track record of managing mobile app development teams, delivering apps at scale on iOS and Android platforms.
Deep understanding of mobile frameworks, tools, and cloud-hosted environments (e.g., Swift, Kotlin, Azure/AWS).
At least 12+ years of experience in software development, with 3+ years in a leadership/management role.
Strong background in software engineering with a passion for leveraging technology to drive business value.
Demonstrated success in leading teams in fast-paced, dynamic environments while maintaining quality and hitting deadlines.
Excellent people-management skills, including hiring, mentorship, and performance management.
Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities with a results-oriented mindset.
Preferred Skills
Experience in a SaaS/product company with knowledge of key SaaS metrics
Expertise in tools such as Jira, Confluence, and GitHub.
Experience managing both in-house engineers and engineering partners
Knowledge of mobile app architecture, design patterns, and automation strategies.
