Role Summary: As a backend developer, you will play a pivotal role in the development and maintenance of our sports broadcasting platform. You will work closely with our cross-functional team of developers, designers, and product managers to ensure optimal performance, scalability, and reliability of our backend systems, contributing to an exceptional user experience for sports fans. Responsibilities: Design, develop, and maintain efficient, reusable, and reliable backend code using appropriate technologies and frameworks. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to analyze requirements, define APIs, and integrate frontend elements seamlessly. Implement data storage solutions and optimize database performance for maximum speed and scalability. Ensure security and data protection measures are in place, adhering to industry best practices and compliance requirements. Collaborate with DevOps and infrastructure teams to optimize deployment processes, monitor system performance, and address any scalability concerns. Debug and resolve software defects and other technical issues, identifying root causes and implementing effective solutions. Stay up-to-date with emerging backend technologies, trends, and best practices to continually enhance our systems and processes. Participate in code reviews, providing constructive feedback and maintaining high code quality standards. Role Requirements: Proven experience of 3-5 yrs as a Backend Developer, working with modern backend frameworks and technologies. Proficiency in one or more backend programming languages, such as Node.js, Python, Ruby or Java. Strong understanding of backend architecture, RESTful APIs, and microservices. Experience with databases, such as PostgreSQL, MongoDB, MySQL, or similar. Familiarity with version control systems, continuous integration, and deployment tools (e.g., Git, Jenkins, Docker). Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a collaborative team environment. Strong communication skills and the ability to effectively convey technical concepts to both technical and non-technical team members.
