Job Description
- Strategic Leadership: Develop and execute the automation design strategy for sort center automation, aligning with the companys expansion roadmap
- Automation Innovation: Lead the design and deployment of innovative large scale sorting automation solutions to enhance the efficiency and accuracy of sortation processes
- Project Management: Oversee the planning, execution, and completion of automation projects, ensuring they are delivered on time, within scope, and budget.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with operations, technology, and product teams to integrate automation solutions seamlessly into existing systems and workflows. Team Development: Build and mentor a high-performing team, fostering a culture of innovation, continuous improvement, and accountability.
- Vendor Management: Evaluate and manage relationships with external vendors and partners to source and implement best-in-class automation technologies.
- Performance Management: Establish metrics and KPIs to assess the effectiveness of sort center operations
- Compliance and Safety: Ensure all automation designs and implementations comply with industry standards, safety regulations, and company policies.
- Bachelor s or Master s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial) or a related field.
- 6 -8 years of progressive experience in sort center design operations, with a significant focus on large scale automation within sortation centers, warehouses, or manufacturing facilities.
- Proficiency in automation technologies, robotics, control systems, and material handling equipment.
- Proven ability to lead and develop design and operations teams, manage complex projects, and drive organizational change.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a track record of implementing innovative solutions to complex challenges.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Experience with project management methodologies and tools, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
