Job Description: CAD / Design Engineer uses the technology and computers to generate designs for complex projects. These designs may be used to create 2D images, a surface modeling, or 3D images, or solid modeling. Using these designs, we can help establish timelines, budgets, and assist many associated departments in making vital decisions about major projects. CAD designers must have strong computer skills and extensive knowledge of design software. They must have knowledge of machines, engineering standards, mathematics, and the materials used to make their plans a reality. Responsibilities: Create high-quality detailed technical drawings and plans based on designs supplied by clients, R&D, D&D, clients customised designs and make modifications to existing drawings Use a variety of CAD software programmes to create designs in 2D and 3D drawings Coordinate as a design engineer for routine production, fabrication process and correct wherever flaws are noticed Use the. CAD system to prepare, maintain and escalate to the management on highest complexity of mechanical, electrical and electronic product, its related documentation & drawings from layouts, sketches or verbal instruction. Responsible for the accuracy of assignments, timely delivery of complex & customised cost effective drawings Calculate costs and apply knowledge of materials and engineering principles to check feasibility of manufacture and construction of the product Work as per industry manufacturing processes and techniques, and interpretation of various standards and procedures. Possesses basic knowledge of the mechanical and total knowledge of the electrical and electronic products design layouts Generate & maintain sensitive documents/reports on all projects assigned safely. Skills Knowledge of engineering principles and ability to create and read technical drawings on AutoCAD, Coral draw and Photoshop. Understand drafting methods, standards and ISO procedures. Attention to detail to create accurate and detailed drawings Metal, Aluminium Fabrication, PCB layout experience, including Altium or Cadence A flexible work approach, make changes to drawings at short notice Strong on the spot decision making abilities without compromising the critical aspects Excellent oral and written communication skills Mathematical skills to complete calculations and estimates Problem solving, creativity and innovation in order to come up with solutions to designs Authority: Approve all documents originating from design department. Make design/ Engineering changes in consultation with NPD. Material acceptance on deviation in consultation with quality. Create and maintain Master Data in ERP
