Responsibilities

The Bridge Engineer shall be responsible for supervising the works of existing or proposed bridges, interchanges and any other structure related to the Project Highway. He shall undertake structure condition survey once in a year and submit an exclusive report on repair and rehabilitation requirements of bridges/ structures. He shall also inspect the bridge rehabilitation and repair works which are required to be undertaken by the Concessionaire. He shall review and suggest modifications to the maintenance manual / programmed relating to his duties

 We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Bridge Engineer to join our team as a Supervisor
In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing the construction, repair, and maintenance of bridges
You will ensure that projects are completed on time, within budget, and in compliance with safety and quality standards
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in civil engineering, with a focus on bridge construction and supervision
Key Responsibilities:Project Supervision:Supervise bridge construction and maintenance projects from start to finish
Ensure that construction activities adhere to project specifications, safety regulations, and quality standards
Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress and identify potential issues
Team Management:Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and construction crews to establish project goals and timelines
Provide guidance and direction to site personnel, ensuring efficient collaboration and high productivity
Train and mentor junior engineers and construction staff
Quality Control:Implement and enforce quality control measures to guarantee the integrity and safety of bridge structures
Review and approve construction materials, methods, and equipment to meet project requirements
Conduct quality assurance tests and inspections to verify compliance with industry standards
Documentation and Reporting:Maintain detailed records of project activities, including daily progress reports, inspection records, and as-built drawings
Prepare comprehensive reports for project stakeholders, highlighting key milestones, challenges, and resolutions
Compliance and Safety:Ensure that all construction activities comply with relevant building codes, regulations, and safety standards
Identify potential safety hazards and implement corrective actions to mitigate risks
Collaborate with regulatory agencies to obtain necessary permits and approvals
Problem Solving:Address engineering and construction challenges proactively, finding innovative solutions to ensure project success
Collaborate with design engineers to resolve any discrepancies between design plans and on-site conditions
Qualifications:Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering or a related field; Masters degree is a plus
Professional Engineer (PE) license is highly desirable
Extensive experience in bridge construction and supervision, with a proven track record of successful project delivery
Strong knowledge of engineering principles, construction techniques, and materials
Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment
Proficiency in relevant engineering software and tools
Knowledge of industry regulations, codes, and standards related to bridge construction and safety

Preferred candidate profile

    Graduate in Civil Engineering from a recognized University.
    5 to 10 years experience in Construction / Construction Supervision of bridge / interchange / any
    other structures
    3 years experience in similar capacity in Construction / Construction Supervision of bridge / interchange / any other Structures including rehabilitation iv. At least one project should involve work of 4/6 laning/expressways or similar project.
    Professional Experience of 15 years.
    Must be familiar with modern methods of construction of bridges/ROB/flyover involving RCC/pre-stress concrete, design standards, technical specifications and statistical Quality Control/Assurance procedures for construction of different component of bridges.
    Experience in similar capacity in supervision of 2 Major Highway Bridges on Pile/Well foundation.
