Medical Coder 2 @ IDS Argus Healthcare

Job Description

Role & responsibilities:

• Accurate Coding: Review medical records, including operative reports, pathology results, and radiology images, to determine the appropriate ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS Level II codes for surgical procedures.

• Documentation Review:Ensure that documentation supports the coded procedures and diagnoses, identifying any discrepancies or deficiencies.
• Compliance: Adhere to coding guidelines, industry standards, and regulatory requirements for accurate and compliant coding practices.
• Collaboration: Work with healthcare providers to resolve coding discrepancies and ensure accurate coding assignments.

• Efficiency and Productivity: Meet coding volume and accuracy standards, while maintaining a high degree of professional and ethical conduct.

Preferred candidate profile:

• Graduates in life sciences with 1 - 4 years of experience in Medical Coding for Surgery speciality
• Experience in Surgery coding is required
• Exposure to CPT-4, ICD-9, ICD-10, and HCPCS coding
• CCS/CPC/CPC-H/CIC/COC certification from AAPC /AHIMA would be a plus
