Job Description
Director of Project Management oversees the planning, execution, and delivery of multiple projects, ensuring they align with organizational goals and strategic objectives. They lead teams, manage resources, and address risks to achieve successful project outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Planning and Governance:
Define project vision, scope, objectives, and milestones, aligning them with organizational strategy.
Team Leadership and Management:
Lead, mentor, and develop project management teams, fostering collaboration and communication.
Resource Management:
Manage budgets, resources (including human capital), and risks to ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget.
Project Execution and Monitoring:
Oversee project execution, track progress, and identify and resolve issues to maintain project momentum.
Stakeholder Management:
Engage with executive leadership, departments, and other stakeholders to communicate project status, address concerns, and influence decision-making.
Process Improvement:
Identify and implement improvements in project management processes, tools, and methodologies to enhance overall project delivery capabilities.
Performance Evaluation:
Monitor project metrics, assess performance, and identify areas for operational improvement and cost savings.
Risk Management:
Identify and mitigate project risks to prevent delays and cost overruns.
