Job Description

: Required : - Minimum 3 years of Db2 LUW administration - Linux or AIX command line experience - Db2 administration at the system level - Creating instances - Creating databases - Db2 command line utilities, such as db2top, db2pd, db2top, backup, runstats, reorg, load - Troubleshooting Db2 errors and performance problems - Restoring Db2 databases from backup images - Understanding of security roles - Db2 administration at the application level - Knowledge of SQL language - Understanding of database objects such as tables, views, triggers, etc.- Query tuning experiencePreferred : - Ability to read and. understand Db2 LUW stored procedures - Ksh or Bash shell scripting experience - Experience with Db2 LUW Federation - Wrappers o Federated Servers - Nicknames - User mappings - Experience with a third party scheduler for batch jobs (not crontab)- TWS/Stonebranch experience desirable - Experience with a third part monitoring software- Nagios experience desired- Experience with change management software - BMC Remedy experience desired - Experience administrating in SQL Server. Other duties : Participates in 24 hour on call rotation.Education and Experience : - Bachelor- s degree or equivalent education and experience. - 3+ years experience providing support in a multi server enterprise environment consisting of 5,000+ users in multiple geographic locations. - Programming experience (PowerShell, Korn shell) (ref: hirist.com
