We are hiring experienced backend engineers to work across multiple critical platforms including distributed event-driven systems, observability tools, and data ingestion pipelines. The ideal candidates will be strong in Java (and optionally Scala/Python), with a deep understanding of modern backend systems.
Responsibilities:
- Design, build, and maintain scalable Java/Scala microservices
- Work on Kafka-based distributed systems with high throughput
- Contribute to observability platform development (OpenTelemetry, Prometheus, Grafana)
- Build ingestion/data processing pipelines using Java/Scala
- Participate in CI/CD, DevOps, and automation processes
- Collaborate with platform teams, architects, and QA for end-to-end delivery
- Ensure high code quality via unit testing, code reviews, and performance tuning
Requirements:
- 3+ years of hands-on backend experience using Java or Scala
- Strong in Spring Boot, Kafka, multithreading, and distributed systems
- Working knowledge of SQL and modern databases (MongoDB, Postgres, etc.)
- Experience with containerization (Docker) and AWS (Lambda, EC2, etc.)
- Good understanding of system architecture and event-driven design
- Exposure to CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, Git, TeamCity)
- Bonus: Familiarity with observability/monitoring frameworks (Grafana, Prometheus)
Nice to Have:
- Experience with Python or scripting
- Platform development or DevOps automation background
- Knowledge of Kubernetes or cloud-native technologies
