Position Description: Network Security
Location: Hybrid / Remote
Reports To: Technology Head
Employment Type: Full-time
Working Hours:- Australian time zone (03:30 AM to 11:30 AM IST )
About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Level 3 Network Security Engineer to join our growing team. This is a hands-on role requiring deep technical expertise across network and security infrastructure, with a strong emphasis on delivering, managing, and supporting solutions in multi-vendor environments including Fortinet, Cisco, Cisco Meraki, and Palo Alto.
The ideal candidate will thrive in fast-paced environments, demonstrate leadership in incident response, and have the ability to work seamlessly with both internal teams and client stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
- Respond to and resolve high-priority incidents (P1/P2) in line with SLA requirements.
- Act as a senior escalation point for the NOC team, providing expert-level troubleshooting and guidance.
- Design, implement, and manage secure LAN/WAN infrastructures, including routing, switching, firewall configurations, SD-WAN, and SASE solutions.
- Lead or support project deployments involving Fortinet, Cisco (including Meraki), and Palo Alto security and networking solutions.
- Maintain detailed and accurate documentation of network configurations, incident resolutions, and change implementations.
- Collaborate directly with clients to understand requirements, provide technical solutions, and deliver clear communications during incidents or change activities.
- Ensure environments are aligned with best practices and security standards.
- Mentor junior engineers and contribute to continuous service improvement initiatives.
Required Skills and Experience:
- Minimum 5+ years of hands-on experience in enterprise networking and security.
- Proven experience with:
- - Fortinet (particularly FortiGate firewalls)
- - Cisco Routing & Switching
- - Cisco Meraki SD-WAN and wireless solutions
- - Palo Alto firewalls and security platforms
- Strong understanding of LAN/WAN design, BGP, OSPF, VLANs, VPNs, NAT, ACLs, and QoS.
- Demonstrated ability to work under pressure and manage critical incidents effectively.
- Solid experience in preparing technical documentation and runbooks.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex issues to clients in a clear and professional manner.
Certifications:
- Mandatory:
- - Fortinet NSE 4
- - Cisco CCNP (Enterprise or Security)
- Highly Desirable:
- - Fortinet NSE 7
- - Cisco CCIE (Enterprise Infrastructure or Security)
- - Palo Alto PCNSE
Nice to Have:
- Experience working in managed services or MSP environments.
- Familiarity with ITIL processes, especially incident and change management.
- Exposure to security monitoring tools and SIEM platforms.
