Job Description
As a DevOps Engineer , you will play a key role in designing, implementing, and maintaining automation pipelines, infrastructure as code, and system monitoring strategies. With 2+ years of hands-on experience , youre expected to take ownership of CI/CD workflows, build scalable deployment solutions, and proactively address infrastructure bottlenecks. The ideal candidate thrives in fast-paced environments, collaborates well with cross-functional teams, and brings a mindset of continuous improvement and system reliability.
Key Responsibilities
- Automation and Scripting
Independently design and implement automation scripts using Python, Bash, or PowerShell. Optimize and maintain automation solutions to streamline deployment and operational processes.
- CI/CD Processes
Develop, manage, and enhance CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, or similar. Ensure seamless and secure integration of code from development to production environments.
- System Administration and Infrastructure Management
Administer Linux-based servers and manage infrastructure components across staging and production environments. Apply best practices in networking, system hardening, and firewall configurations. Familiarity with MySQL and PostgreSQL database handling and maintenance is a plus, though not mandatory.
- Containerization and Deployment
Design and deploy containerized applications using Docker and orchestration tools such as Kubernetes or Docker Compose. Collaborate with development teams to ensure infrastructure aligns with application requirements.
- Monitoring, Logging, and Troubleshooting
Implement and manage monitoring solutions (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, Datadog) to ensure system health and performance. Analyze logs, trace errors, and resolve infrastructure issues with minimal supervision. Establish alerting mechanisms and proactive diagnostics to mitigate potential system failures.
- Collaboration and Communication
Collaborate closely with developers, QA, and product teams to align on infrastructure needs and deployment plans. Communicate technical challenges and solutions clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Process Improvement and Ownership
Identify infrastructure bottlenecks and propose long-term solutions to improve reliability, scalability, and performance. Document processes, configurations, and workflows to enhance team knowledge and reduce dependencies.
- Learning and Initiative
Stay up to date with emerging tools, platforms, and DevOps practices. Take initiative to introduce new technologies or practices that improve engineering productivity and system stability.
- Cloud Infra Knowledge
Has basic hands-on experience on handling AWS, Azure or DigitalOcean Infrastructure and components.
What Were Looking For
- Experience: 2+ years of hands-on experience in DevOps or related roles.
- Skills: Strong knowledge of scripting, containerization, CI/CD tools, Linux systems, and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, and DigitalOcean is preferred; familiarity with GCP is a valuable bonus.).
- Mindset: Proactive, detail-oriented, and passionate about automation and systems thinking.
- Collaboration: Strong interpersonal skills and experience working in agile, cross-functional teams.
- Certification: AWS Cloud Practitioner or Azure Fundamentals Certifications or above can have an edge.
