Role & responsibilities
Position Overview:
The Director Planning will be a key driver in shaping Zeptos overall planning strategy, focusing on scaling operations and ensuring seamless alignment between demand forecasting, supply chain, and inventory management. This leadership role requires a seasoned professional with a proven track record of managing large-scale planning functions, driving innovation, and delivering exceptional results in dynamic and fast-paced environments. The Director will work closely with the executive team to influence decision-making and ensure operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Vision & Leadership
- Develop and implement the overall planning strategy to align with Zeptos growth objectives and market opportunities.
- Define and oversee the execution of frameworks for demand planning, supply planning, and inventory management.
- Partner with executive leadership to drive planning strategies that align with Zeptos business goals and vision.
Demand Planning Excellence
- Lead the organizations demand planning processes, leveraging advanced analytics and market insights.
- Ensure the integration of customer demand trends, promotional activities, and new product launches into planning models. Drive continuous improvements in forecasting accuracy and reliability.
- Supply Chain Optimization
- Oversee supply planning strategies to balance cost, efficiency, and service levels across all distribution centers.
- Collaborate with procurement teams to ensure a resilient and agile supply chain. Implement scalable solutions to optimize lead times, vendor performance, and cost efficiencies.
Inventory Management & Control
- Establish policies and practices to maintain optimal inventory levels, reducing holding costs while ensuring product availability.
- Monitor inventory health across the network and lead initiatives to minimize obsolescence and improve turnover rates.
- Enhance inventory visibility through data-driven decision-making and advanced tools.
- Cross-Functional Alignment
- Act as a bridge between planning, procurement, operations, sales, marketing, and finance teams to ensure cohesive operations.
- Champion collaboration across departments to solve key challenges and implement integrated planning solutions.
- Lead high-impact cross-functional projects to achieve strategic goals.
- Innovation & Technology Adoption
- Identify and implement state-of-the-art tools and technologies to improve forecasting, planning, and supply chain operations.
- Drive innovation in planning processes, incorporating AI/ML and predictive analytics for improved decision-making.
- Stay abreast of industry trends and integrate best practices into Zeptos operations. Performance Management & Reporting
- Define and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess and enhance the effectiveness of planning strategies.
- Present data-driven insights and recommendations to the executive team for strategic decision-making.
- Regularly review and refine planning processes to ensure alignment with organizational objectives.
Qualifications:
- Education:
Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or related fields.
MBA or advanced degree in a relevant discipline is strongly preferred.
Experience:
8 years of experience in strategic planning, supply chain, or operations Extensive expertise in demand planning, supply planning, and inventory management in high-growth organizations.
Demonstrated ability to lead large-scale planning functions and deliver measurable outcomes.
- Skills:
Strategic thinker with strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret complex data.
Advanced knowledge of planning tools, ERP systems, and predictive analytics. Proven leadership capabilities with a history of building and leading high-performing teams.
Exceptional communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage competing priorities.
