Experience:7+YearsKey Responsibilities:ServiceNow Development: Develop, configure, and maintain ServiceNow applications and modules, particularly focused on ITAM, ITOM, and CMDB.
Scripting & Customization: Utilize JavaScript, GlideScript, and other relevant scripting technologies to customize and automate processes in ServiceNow.
ITAM & ITOM Expertise: Implement, support, and enhance IT Asset Management (ITAM) and IT Operations Management (ITOM) solutions on the ServiceNow platform, ensuring optimal performance and alignment with business requirements.
CMDB Management: Design, develop, and implement CMDB structures to ensure accurate and reliable data management for Configuration Items (CIs), relationships, and dependencies.
Integration & API Development: Develop and maintain integrations with other IT systems (e.g., monitoring tools, asset discovery, and third-party applications) using ServiceNow IntegrationHub and REST/SOAP APIs.
Troubleshooting & Issue Resolution: Diagnose and resolve technical issues related to ServiceNow modules, particularly ITAM, ITOM, and CMDB.
Collaboration: Work closely with business analysts, system administrators, and stakeholders to understand business needs and translate them into technical solutions.
Testing & Quality Assurance: Write unit and integration tests to ensure the quality and stability of the codebase. Perform code reviews to maintain high coding standards.
Documentation: Create and maintain comprehensive technical documentation, including design documents, user guides, and system specifications.
Support & Maintenance: Provide post-implementation support and ensure that the ServiceNow platform remains up-to-date with new features, enhancements, and bug fixes.
Key Qualifications:Experience: 6-10 years of hands-on experience as a ServiceNow Developer, with significant expertise in ITAM, ITOM, and CMDB modules.
Scripting Skills: Proficiency in JavaScript and ServiceNow scripting (GlideScript, Business Rules, UI Actions, Client Scripts, etc.).
ServiceNow Expertise: In-depth knowledge of ServiceNow platform architecture, design, and best practices. Familiarity with ServiceNow ITAM, ITOM, CMDB, Incident Management, Change Management, and other key modules.
Integration Skills: Experience in integrating ServiceNow with third-party tools and systems using REST/SOAP APIs, IntegrationHub, and other integration technologies.
Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills, with the ability to debug and resolve complex technical issues.
Collaboration & Communication: Excellent communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
Certifications (Preferred): ServiceNow Certified Application Developer (CAD) and/or ServiceNow Certified Implementation Specialist (CIS) in relevant modules (ITAM, ITOM, CMDB).
Knowledge of ITIL: A solid understanding of ITIL processes and how they align with ServiceNow modules (particularly around ITAM and ITOM).
Version Control & Development Tools: Familiarity with version control tools (Git, SVN) and Agile development methodologies.Preferred Skills & Experience:Experience with ServiceNow Discovery and Service Mapping.
Familiarity with ServiceNow Orchestration and its integrations.
Knowledge of performance optimization techniques for ServiceNow.
Experience with other ServiceNow applications like HRSD, Virtual Agent, or Security Incident
Proven experience of delivering process efficiencies and improvements
Clear and fluent English (both verbal and written)
Ability to build and maintain efficient working relationships with remote teams
Demonstrate ability to take ownership of and accountability for relevant products and services
