IT Platform Engineer (Rollout & Consulting) Job description

Implement and/or collaborate with stakeholders to ensure the standard configuration for Kubernetes-based platform setups.

In coordination to request and setup App relation services (Kafka, Solace, ) and Database services (Oracle, Mongo, PostgreSQL ).

Responsible to coordinate, support in setting-up and configuring the Deployment Relation Services (DRS such as GIT, Jenkins, ArgoCD ).

Coordinate, evaluate to set-up network connectivity, Firewall clearance based on approved application architecture.

Apply DevOps and/or GitOps solutions and best-practices to automate and improve Industrialized rollout process.

Assist in testing and evaluating the overall setup before handover to applications deployments team.

Coordinate and support other teams for Application integration and deployments on platform.Required qualification and experience

Having 3+ years of experience as DevOps and/or system administrator.

Experience in implementation and development on Kubernetes-based platforms on Hybrid Cloud environments (preferably Rancher).

Solid understanding of Kubernetes and Docker technologies.

Experience with distributed environments, API design (REST and gRPC), event-driven data platforms, and cloud-native application development.

Well versed in one of the languages (Python, Java, Go).

Analyze existing automated deployment standards, process and/or governance to identity and implement improvements.

Provide the automated deployment for manufacturing applications with all necessary components such as App relation services (Kafka, Solace, ), Database (Oracle, Mongo, PostgreSQL ).

Experience with API (REST and gRPC), Distributed system, database as well as enterprise level systems (ERP).

Familiarity with DevOps and GitOps practices (CI/CD/Cx/ ) for automated rollout and processes as well as deployment concept on K8S (Blue-Green, Canary, A/B )

Well versed in one of the languages (Python, Java, Go).

Ability to create comprehensive documentation and facilitate efficient knowledge transfer.

Provide the consultation and support in the implementation and configuration for monitoring solutions in Edge- (Bosch Plants) including Grafana, Prometheus, AppDynamic, ELK, and more.

Coordinate and support the setup of comprehensive monitoring dashboards, encompassing metrics, alerts, thresholds, logs, and more. Align these dashboards with TOM Monitoring E2E design.

Co-coordinate and support the monitoring onboarding process, including requirements collection and seamless integration.

3+ years experience with E2E monitoring solution (include monitoring, logging, and tracing) for enterprise level system - preferably in a manufacturing environment.

Experience with Kubernetes, Docker, and microservices.

Required qualification and experience
