The ideal candidate should be passionate as an Environment Support Engineer within Environments Management organization, you will work closely with the Environments Support manager on supporting, and enhancing, our pre-production environments.Responsibilities:
Experienced talented software engineers3+ years experience in supporting share application infrastructure3+ years experience with automation tools like Solstice or similar3+ years experience with system software/monitoring tools like Dynatrace, Glassbox or similarExperience with integrating in-house developed solution and vendor products to provide a stable testing environment for new/enhanced application solutionsOncall experience for addressing troubleshooting ticketsSolid communication, presentation, analytical and problem-solving skillsDesired5+ years experience in supporting share application infrastructure5+ years experience with automation tools like Solstice or similar3+ years of experience as a system admin supporting Unix and Windows3+ years of Software Engineering with languages like Python, Java or JavaScriptSelf-motivated, willing to take initiative, capable of simultaneously working on multiple assignments, team-player, able to adapt and apply new technologies when needed.Experience with Container Technologies such as Docker, Kubernetes, OpenshiftAbout The Role Responsible for supporting and ongoing care and feeding of the pre-production environments.Key responsibilities:Linux windows server admin and maintenance, patching in sprint, applying and managing Licenses/Certificates and their renewals in QA environment.Implementation of network infrastructures consisting of servers, networking, software, and network devicesAdvanced knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures within technical support and Windows AdministrationAdvanced knowledge on App Server, Web Server, Databases (Starting / Stopping Server, Looking at the logs, etc.)Basic scripting skillsExperience monitoring tools - Dynatrace, Glassbox and GrafanaIntermediate knowledge in SCM tools like ServiceNow and Jira.Prioritize workflow, document processes, organize diverse material, and handle multiple competing and changing prioritiesScripting self-healing capabilities for routine issuesConduct Review calls with Infra and Application Team to understand current stateAssess current state and identify opportunities for automation and toil reductionDesign and implement framework to categorize / prioritize tasks that can be fully automated / Semi automated / avoidedCGI is an equal opportunity employer.
