Job Description
SummaryWe are seeking a Database Developer/Engineer with a minimum of 8 years of experience in designing, developing, and optimizing enterprise data solutions
The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in data engineering, big data solutions, and cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or similar providers, Primary Responsibilities
Assist in the design, development, and optimization of data pipelines on cloud platforms, Support the team's adoption of best practices in data engineering and coding standards, Act as a subject matter expert in big data solutions and SQL scripting, Provide technical guidance and support to the team, ensuring project timelines and deliverables are met, Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate data solutions into applications, Identify skill gaps within the team and provide training and mentorship, Design, develop, and optimize data models that support enterprise analytics and business intelligence needs, Implement star schema, normalized, and denormalized structures based on business requirements, Build and optimize data ingestion pipelines using orchestration tools (e-g, Apache Airflow, Google Cloud Composer), Collaborate with data engineers, analysts, and business stakeholders to understand and optimize data storage and retrieval strategies, Ensure best practices for query performance tuning, partitioning, clustering, and cost optimization, Design and implement CI/CD pipelines to automate data workflows and ensure continuous integration and delivery, Evaluate and recommend new technologies, frameworks, and best practices to enhance data architecture, Required Knowledge/Skills/Abilities
8+ years of experience as a Database Developer, with strong expertise in big data solutions on cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or similar providers, Understanding of data engineering techniques, including CI/CD pipelines, Proficiency in SQL optimization and query performance tuning, Experience with ETL/ELT pipelines and data ingestion frameworks, Familiarity with data orchestration tools like Apache Airflow, Google Cloud Composer, or similar, Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently in a fast-paced, evolving environment, Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams, Preferred Knowledge/Skills/Abilities
Experience with cloud platforms and their data ecosystems (e-g, AWS, Azure, Google Cloud), Knowledge of big data processing techniques and distributed computing frameworks, Familiarity with machine learning and AI-driven analytics, Experience in cost management and optimization strategies for cloud-based data storage and processing,
