Job Description
SUMMARY
We are seeking a Database Developer/Engineer with a minimum of 8 years of experience in designing, developing, and optimizing enterprise data solutions. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in data engineering, big data solutions, and cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or similar providers.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES
- 6+ years of experience as a Database Developer, with strong expertise in big data solutions on cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or similar providers.
- Understanding of data engineering techniques, including CI/CD pipelines.
- Proficiency in SQL optimization and query performance tuning.
- Experience with ETL/ELT pipelines and data ingestion frameworks.
- Familiarity with data orchestration tools like Apache Airflow, Google Cloud Composer, or similar.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
Technical Expertise
- Big Data Platform: Proficiency in Big Data Platform and cloud-based data warehousing.
- Data Modeling: Deep understanding of star schema, snowflake model, and denormalized structures.
- SQL: Strong proficiency in SQL optimization and query performance tuning.
- Data Governance: Experience with data governance frameworks, metadata management, and data catalog tools.
- Security: Implementation of row- and column-level security policies.
- ETL/ELT Pipelines: Experience with data ingestion frameworks and orchestration tools like Apache Airflow and Google Cloud Composer.
Experience
- 6+ Years: Extensive experience as a Database Developer.
- Big Data Platforms: Knowledge of big data processing techniques and distributed computing frameworks.
- Google Cloud Platform (GCP): Familiarity with GCP and its data ecosystem (Cloud Storage, Dataflow, Pub/Sub, Looker).
