Job Description
Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced Transition Manager to oversee and manage the transition of large-scale applications in the Banking, Insurance, Automotive, and Aeronautical sectors. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in project management, excellent leadership skills, and the ability to manage complex transitions seamlessly, including those involving Commercial Off-The-Shelf (COTS) and engineered applications.
- Key Responsibilities:
- Develop Comprehensive Transition Plans: Create detailed transition plans outlining goals, scope, timelines, and resource allocation.
- Stakeholder Communication: Maintain effective communication with stakeholders, addressing concerns and providing regular updates.
- Risk Management: Identify potential risks and develop strategies to mitigate them.
- Coordination: Work closely with various teams and departments to ensure tasks are completed on time and within budget.
- Performance Tracking: Monitor the progress of the transition, analyze data, and produce reports to demonstrate progress.
- Documentation: Ensure all documentation related to the transition is accurately maintained and updated.
- Post-Transition Review: Conduct reviews to identify areas of improvement for future projects.
- Application Knowledge: Manage transitions involving COTS and engineered applications, ensuring seamless integration and functionality.
- Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Project Management, or a related field. A Master's degree is a plus.
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in transition management, specifically in the Banking, Insurance, Automotive, and Aeronautical sectors.
- Skills:
- Strong project management skills.
- Excellent leadership and team management abilities.
- Proficiency in risk management and mitigation strategies.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- In-depth knowledge of COTS and engineered applications.
- Application Background: Proven experience working with application management, including development, deployment, and maintenance.
- Technical Skills: Experience in supporting applications developed in .NET, Go, and Java.
- Mandatory Qualifications:
- Certifications: PMP or PRINCE2, or other relevant project management certifications.
- Technical Skills: Familiarity with relevant software and tools used in transition management.
