Job Description
- Database Management:
o Install, configure, and upgrade SQL Server software.
o Design, implement, and maintain database structures.
o Ensure data integrity and availability through regular backups and disaster
recovery planning.
o Monitor database performance and optimize as needed. - Security:
o Implement and maintain database security measures, including user
authentication and authorization.
o Perform regular security audits and address vulnerabilities promptly. - Performance Tuning:
o Identify and resolve performance issues, optimizing queries and database
performance.
o Implement best practices for database performance and resource
utilization. - Troubleshooting:
o Diagnose and resolve database-related issues promptly.
o Provide technical support and guidance to end-users and other IT
professionals. - Upgrades and Patches:
o Stay current with SQL Server updates and patches.
o Plan and execute database upgrades as necessary. - Documentation:
o Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of database
configurations, processes, and procedures. - Collaboration:
o Collaborate with development teams to ensure efficient database design
and implementation.
o Work closely with system administrators and network engineers to address
infrastructure-related issues.
Oue Ideal Candidate comes with: - Proven experience as a SQL Server Database Administrator or similar role.
- In-depth knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server and its various components.
- Strong understanding of database security, backup, and recovery procedures.
