Job Description
- As a Test Engineer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and reliability of software products
- You will be responsible for designing, implementing, and executing test plans, as well as identifying and reporting defects
- Your role will involve collaboration with cross-functional teams, including developers, product managers, and quality assurance teams, to deliver high-quality software solutions
Responsibilities:
- Test Planning and Design:Collaborate with project stakeholders to understand software requirements
- Develop comprehensive test plans that cover functional, regression, performance, and system testing
- Design test cases based on software specifications and user stories
- Test Execution:Execute manual and/or automated test cases to verify software functionality
- Conduct thorough regression testing to ensure the stability of existing features
- Perform exploratory testing to discover potential issues not covered by test cases
- Defect Identification and Reporting:Document and track defects in a clear and concise manner
- Work closely with development teams to troubleshoot and resolve issues
- Provide detailed information to assist in root cause analysis
- Automation:Develop and maintain automated test scripts to increase test coverage and efficiency
- Collaborate with the development team to integrate automated testing into the continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipeline
- Collaboration:Work closely with cross-functional teams to understand project requirements and priorities
- Participate in regular team meetings and provide input on testing-related matters
- Continuous Improvement:Stay updated on industry best practices and testing methodologies
- Proactively identify areas for process improvement and contribute to the enhancement of testing processes
