Job Description
- Software Security Consultant contributes to the success of the Application Security Program by working on various application security tools like SAST, DAST, IAST, SCA etc.
- Software Security Consultant has a indepth understanding of various Application Security standards like OWASP Top 10, OWASP Mobile Top 10, OWASP API Top 10, OWASP IoT Top 10, SANS Top 25.
- Software Security Consultant understands the Organization best practices for Application Security and adheres to them. This role significantly contributes in developing and executing the Security validation plan / Penetration testing and communicating the outcome to stakeholders.
- The role also involves analyzing the issues reported out of security scanning tools or customer cases and track various security activities for main release and maintenance releases ensuring those are tracked in collaboration with other functions/teams as necessary.
- This role also involves oversite and maintenance of code owned by the App Security team. This role involves in Secure test plan review, maintaining Team process and building as well as updating Security best practices document up to date with guidance from lead.
- Software Security Consultant has an expert level understanding of security tools as well as designing controls for secure SDLC processes. Application Security Consultant proactively plans and undertakes initiatives to improve the posture of the security program. The role is also responsible for maintaining security release criteria along with the success metrics. This role involves in NPD Approach review and threat modelling consultation. This role assumes mentoring and guiding junior Application Security employees, however, does not assume any direct reports.
