Job Description
As a Transport Data Management Specialist (m/f/d), you will support implementation, and
optimization of digital twins for automated identification and control of transport processes based on EDI data. You will work closely with Logistics Service Providers (LSPs), internal IT departments,
and Supply Chain teams to maximize data quality, transparency, and efficiency in transport
planning.
Data Management & Automation
Support implementation of a Digital Twin model for automated capture and analysis of transport data
Ensuring correct referencing of shipment objects by assigning SAP OD pairs
Monitoring & Quality Management
Continuous analysis of EDI data quality and implementation of measures to improve data
integrity
Definition and monitoring of KPI targets for reference mapping quotas (target: 90%)
Development of deviation reports to identify erroneous or missing references
Communication & Training
Collaboration with logistics service providers to optimize EDI data quality
Conducting training sessions for LSPs on how to correctly capture and process transport
references
Support internal departments in the analysis and optimization of transport processes
Process Optimization & Digitalization
Identification and implementation of automation solutions to reduce manual rework
Development of error logs & alert systems for early detection and resolution of data errors
Integration of the Digital Twin with existing SAP, NGSR, and transport management systems
Qualifications
Professional Qualifications
Completed degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Computer Science, Business
Informatics, or a related field
Experience in transport management and working with EDI interfaces and SAP integrations
Knowledge of data analysis, process digitalization, and automation
Understanding of EDI standards (e.g., IFTSTA, API) and their application in logistics
Personal Skills & Soft Skills
Analytical thinking and problem-solving skills to optimize digital processes
Strong communication and teamwork skills for collaboration with internal and external partners
Initiative and innovative spirit to drive digital transformation projects
Desirable Additional Qualifications
Experience with databases & BI tools (e.g., SQL, Power BI, Tableau)
Knowledge of programming languages such as Python or R for data analysis
