Job Summary:

The architect at Vivid design firm is responsible for integrating architectural principles and solutions into interior design projects. This role involves collaborating closely with interior designers, clients, and other stakeholders to create spaces that are not only visually appealing but also meet safety, functionality, and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with interior designers to understand project requirements and objectives. Develop architectural concepts that align with the overall design vision. Create detailed architectural plans, drawings, and 3D models.
• Determine spatial requirements and allocate space efficiently within the design. Ensure that spaces are functional, practical, and meet building codes and regulations.
• Assist in selecting appropriate building materials, finishes, and furnishings in coordination with interior designers. Ensure that materials meet quality and durability standards.
• Provide technical guidance on structural integrity, building systems, and construction methods. Collaborate with engineers and contractors to resolve technical issues and challenges.
• Prepare and maintain accurate and comprehensive architectural documentation, including construction drawings, specifications, and project schedules.
• Stay updated on local building codes, regulations, and zoning requirements. Ensure that design plans comply with all applicable codes and standards.
• Communicate architectural concepts and design decisions to clients effectively. Address client concerns and feedback throughout the design and construction phases.
• Assist in budget estimation and cost analysis for architectural elements. Work within budget constraints to achieve design objectives.
• Conduct site visits to monitor construction progress and ensure that architectural plans are being executed accurately.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture.
• Proven experience in architectural design and project management, preferably within the interior design field.

Desired Candidate Profile

• Proficiency in architectural software such as AutoCAD, Revit, Sketch-Up, and 3D modelling tools.
• Strong knowledge of building codes, regulations, and construction methods.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Attention to detail and a strong sense of design aesthetics.
• This position typically involves working in an office environment, but site visits and meetings with clients and contractors may be required.
• The architect need to work to meet project deadlines.
