Job Description
Description:We are seeking a talented and detail-oriented Technical Writer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for creating clear, concise, and user-friendly documentation for our products and services. You will work closely with engineers, developers, and other stakeholders to gather information, translate technical concepts into easy-to-understand language, and develop comprehensive documentation across various formats including paper, multimedia, web-based publications, and user sites.
*Github and Markdown work experience is mandatory
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent
Experience in technical writing or a related field.
Proven ability to create clear, concise, and user-friendly documentation for
diverse audiences.
Excellent research and information gathering skills.
Strong understanding of technical concepts and the ability to translate them into
easy-to-understand language
Familiarity with version control systems (like Git) and collaborative knowledge
management platforms (like Confluence).
Working knowledge of Markdown for content creation.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Strong attention to detail and ability to produce high-quality work.
Job Responsibilities:
Create, develop, plan, write, and edit operational, instructional, maintenance, or
test procedures for various formats, including:
Paper-based publications
Multimedia resources
Web-based platforms
User sites
Embedded user assistance systems
Conduct interviews with subject matter experts (SMEs), technical staff, and users
to gather accurate and up-to-date information for documentation.
Research and translate complex technical information into clear and concise user
manuals, guides, and web-based documents for both technical and non-technical
audiences.
Document engineering processes and specifications to ensure clarity and
consistency.
Recommend and implement formatting styles that cater to the specific needs of
both technical audiences and general users.
Ensure all documentation adheres to company style guides, documentation
standards, and quality assurance (QA) procedures.
Utilize version control systems (like Git) and collaborative knowledge
management platforms (like Confluence) to manage and track documentation
effectively.
Leverage Markdown for efficient and clear content creation.
Possess a good understanding of HTML and CSS for formatting and styling web-
based documentation (optional).
