Company: Qualcomm India Private Limited Job Area: Finance & Accounting Group, Finance & Accounting Group > Global Accounting Ops Center General Summary: Job Overview The Accounts Payable Accounting associate will work in one or more of the following sub process areas within Accounts Payable: Operations (Supplier Master; payment team, procurement team, sourcing team, other internal teams) The role requires understanding of AP End to End domain knowledge with effective communication skills to communicate with the Internal/external stakeholders AP Accounting associate has responsibility to ensure resolution on time as per agreed business SLA This position requires knowledge of US, EMEA and INDIA Tax Complete understanding of upstream and downstream of accounting transaction along with tax and accounting impact Able to resolve and suggest corrective action for any rectification Pro-active approach towards resolution and effective communication Awareness about process. control and compliance related topic Ability to identify and work with IT for any system/tools configuration challenges Flexible with shift timings General Responsibilities Responsible to resolve queries on time as per agreed SLA with effective communication. Ensure all relevant documents are saved into the system for future audit purpose. Responsible for any updates, amendments on the existing process, tax amendments, query resolutions etc. Investigate and resolve issues by collaborating with other departments such as Operations, Procurement, tax team etc. Maintain high level stakeholder management, understanding and prioritize business criticality and on time communication. Reviews adherence to published policy and procedure Minimum Qualifications B. Com/MBA Problem Solving and Analytical skill Identifies and escalates issues while providing potential recommendations Identifies process improvement needs and proposes solutions to bring in efficiency Technical Skills with strong accounting knowledge and Payables concept ERP preferred Oracle and SAP Processing and Exception Handling Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree. 2+ years of Finance, Accounting, or related work experience. Completed advanced degrees in a relevant field may be substituted for up to two years (Masters = one year, Doctorate = two years) of work experience.
