Job Description

Functional description:

The responsibility of the pre-sales consultant covers the entire "life cycle of pre-sales". The tasks of the pre-sales employees have an important value in the sales process. A general and important aspect is the (technical) support of the sales team and the responsibility for ensuring that the (technical) sales processes run professionally and smoothly. A pre-sales consultant is a highly qualified, sales-oriented employee and supports the sales team with his/her technical know-how in the development and penetration of the customer organizations, focused on the acquisition of projects (from a technical point of view). He or she has a strong technical understanding and basic knowledge of business administration. His/Her tasks also include the commercial validation of requested product adaptations and individual solutions. He/She has experience in sales of technically complex products in combination with services. He/She often acts as an interpreter between the customer and internal departments. He/She understands the concerns and needs of the customer and sorts these in his/her techno-commercial environment while ensuring that the interested party is offered a suitable and comprehensive solution. He/She manages and coordinates projects and the necessary resources during the selling phases.

Main duties:

  • Support of the entire sales department (including the creation of project designs, camera plans, quotations, technical concepts)
  • Interface between sales and technical resources at Geutebruck
  • Sales partner for the KAM/AM and solution finder for the customer
  • Translating customer needs into overall solution requirements
  • Understands the problems of the future user / operator and communicates independently with the customer
  • Serves as contact for all project-specific questions and challenges for the end user in the pre-sales phase
  • Can perform sales and technical presentations (product / solution presentations)
  • Participates in negotiations to clarify project-related and technical questions / issues
  • Fixes customer appointments independently
  • Organisation and management of Geutebruck solution presentations
  • Establishing a relationship with the customer to find a contact person for all questions in the sales process
  • Establishes contacts in all project-relevant departments of the end customer
  • Monitoring, support and realization of PoCs
  • Generates feasibility studies
  • Commercial examination and assessment of requested product adaptations
  • Conducting competitive analysis (in competitive sales situations)
  • Development of individual case studies and references
  • Analysis of customer processes and definition of tailor-made solutions
  • Development of individual license models
  • Presentation of the financial possibilities for the client (if desired)
  • Preparation of project documentation for handover to project management after order placement
  • Coordination and management of RFQ and RFP requests

Desired Skills:

  • Completed technical education with several years of professional experience (ideally 5 - 7 years) in various areas of complex communication electronics
  • Experience in video technology/ CCTV would be an advantage
  • Knowledge in the IT area, especially PC and network technology (LAN), as well as the hardware components and common Windows operating systems used there is must.
  • Good Knowledge in exposure with MS-Office package, experience with CRM systems is desirable.
  • Valid Driving license required.
