Role

As the Plant SQA Category Engineer Frame you will be part of the Quality and will report to the Plant SQA Group Lead Frame.

The purpose of your role will be toEnsure adherence to quality standards & system of frame category components by evaluation & improvement of the product & process quality at supplier end to ensure overall customer satisfaction.

A purpose driven role for you

Your key responsibilities will include, but not limited to:

1. Ensure inspection of incoming parts as per plan (BOP, Spare parts etc.)

2. MIS/Report generation

3. Ensure closure of issues/deviations

4. Ensure Quality Sustenance & Improve Existing supplier/ components through

5. audits/QAVs and gap closure

6. warranty analysis

7. benchmarking of Best Practices to deploy horizontally

8. Ensure Product, Process & System approval and establishment for smooth and trouble free development within stipulated time during New Model development.

A Day in the life

1. Developing a culture of zero defect at supplier end lack of competence, infrastructure constraints

2. Getting the Inspection process implemented effectively through the Manpower which keeps changing every year

3. Knowledge of New Technology components and their checkpoints at supplier end

4. Co-ordination with internal stakeholders for Supplier performance/part quality improvement, line/assembly issues, Customer related issues, Part development, Infrastructure & facility establishment related ordering

5. Co-ordinating with Suppliers for Process/system improvements, parts quality

6. Co-ordinating with Audit agencies for NABL audits

Academic Qualification & Experience

Diploma with 5-6 yrs of experience

Technical Skills/Knowledge

1. Product (especially engine) process & systems knowledge (especially machining/casting /forging heat treatment/moulding)
