Job Description
- We are seeking an experienced Senior Infrastructure Engineer with expertise in Windows Server Administration, Microsoft SQL Server, and Virtualization technologies (Hyper-V & VMware)
- The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, managing, and optimizing enterprise IT infrastructure while ensuring high availability, performance, and security of systems
Key Responsibilities:1
- Windows Server Administration & Management:Install, configure, and manage Windows Server 2016/2019/2022 in enterprise environments
- Administer Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, and File Services
- Implement Windows security hardening, patch management, and compliance policies
- Monitor system performance and troubleshoot hardware, OS, and network issues
- Virtualization & Cloud Technologies:Manage and maintain Hyper-V and VMware vSphere/ESXi environments
- Deploy and optimize virtual machines (VMs), templates, and snapshots
- Implement and maintain VM clustering, load balancing, and failover
- Work with Azure/AWS cloud environments for hybrid cloud integrations
- Microsoft SQL Server Administration:Install, configure, and maintain MS SQL Server 2016/2019/2022 databases
- Perform database tuning, indexing, backup, and recovery for high availability
- Implement SQL clustering, mirroring, and Always On availability groups
- Optimize database security with RBAC, encryption, and auditing
- Infrastructure Monitoring & Automation:Monitor Infrastructure health using SCOM, SolarWinds, Nagios, or similar tools
- Automate server provisioning and patching using PowerShell, Ansible, or SCCM
- Maintain disaster recovery (DR) strategies with backup solutions (Veeam, Commvault)
- Security & Compliance:Ensure infrastructure security compliance with ISO 27001, NIST, CIS benchmarks
- Implement Windows Firewall, Endpoint Protection, and security best practices
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and remediation for servers and databases
- Documentation & Collaboration:Maintain detailed infrastructure documentation, SOPs, and runbooks
- Work closely with DBAs, Network, and Cloud teams for infrastructure optimization
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineers
- Required Skills & Experience: 8+ years of experience in IT infrastructure engineering and Windows administration
- Expertise in Windows Server (2016/2019/2022), Active Directory, and Group Policy
- Hands-on experience with Microsoft SQL Server administration and tuning
- Strong knowledge of Hyper-V and VMware vSphere/ESXi virtualization
- Proficiency in PowerShell scripting and automation
- Experience with backup, DR, and high-availability solutions
- Preferred Qualifications (Nice to Have): Certifications: MCSE, MCSA, VCP, Azure Administrator, AWS SysOps
- Experience with Azure Virtual Machines and AWS EC2
- Knowledge of containers (Docker, Kubernetes)
- Familiarity with SAN storage solutions and networkin
