Job Description
What we are looking for: We are looking for SDET for one of our internal projects. Strong expertise in Cypress automation, and strong DB testing professionals.
Role: SDET
Location: Hyderabad
Shift timings: Overlapping US hours
Years of experience: 6-9 Years of experience
Tools/Technologies: Cypress, DB testing, SQL queries, API Testing, Postman, JavaScript, Selenium, JAVA, Framework development
Nice to have: Katalon Studio
Skills:
- Automation tools:
- Develop and maintain automation test cases using Cypress (WebUI and API).
- Katalon Studio for WebUI and API testing
- Postman API testing
- Database Testing:
- Proficient in SQL queries (select, update, delete, insert)
- Create decision tables
- Data validations and perform duplicate and overlapping checks comparing two databases.
- Good knowledge on JavaScript, Java and Groovy programming languages
- Experience in Functional automation and Integration testing.
- Strong understanding of software testing best practices, including test case design, test execution, and defect management.
- Deep understanding of test automation frameworks, and experience in testing both frontend and backend components.
- Proficient in using Azure DevOps (ADO) for test management and CI/CD pipelines
- Executing automation scripts in CI/CD pipeline (performing continuous runs and achieving 95% stability)
- Write and maintain BDD Cucumber (Gherkin) Test cases
- Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including Dev team, Solution Architects (SA), Business Analysts (BA), and Technical Project Managers (TPM).
- Familiarity with version control systems like GitHub and Bitbucket.
- Candidates with strong consulting background will be preferred.
Role & Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain modular test cases in Cypress, Katalon Studio, ensuring they can be composed into larger, reusable test suites.
- Automate complex functional, API, and mobile test cases using Katalon and Appium, ensuring high test coverage for critical application areas.
- Collaborate closely with the SA, BA, TPM, and other stakeholders to identify and prioritize high-complexity test scenarios, focusing on critical business logic.
- Continuously optimize and refactor automated test suites to improve performance, stability, and coverage.
- Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines to ensure continuous testing during development and deployment.
- Analyze test results, report defects, and ensure timely resolution to maintain high product quality.
- Provide technical guidance and support to other QA team members in building complex, composable automated tests.
