Quantity Surveyor MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing)
Manages the costs associated with these specialized systems within construction projects. Responsible for cost estimation, budget management, contract administration. Work with project stakeholders to ensure project requirements are met.
Key Responsibilities:
- Cost Estimation & Management: Develops and maintains cost estimates for MEP systems, from initial budgets to detailed design stages.
- Contract Management: Oversees contracts for MEP works, including procurement and supplier negotiations.
- Cost Analysis: Conducts cost analysis on engineering projects and provides accurate estimates for materials, labor, and other expenses.
- Progress Payments: Prepares and agrees on progress payments, assesses variations and claims.
- Reporting: Provides regular reports and updates to senior management and other stakeholders.
- Stakeholder Communication: Works with engineers, project managers, and other stakeholders.
- Bill of Quantities (BQ): Creates BQs, cost estimations, cost plans, and contract packages.
- Risk and Value Management: Provides support for risk and value management, and cost control functions.
Required Skills:
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Detailed understanding of MEP systems and construction processes.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in relevant software.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
