Here s what we are looking for with this role:
Essential Requirements
Following are the activities to be performed by the BASIS administrator.
- SAP Basis administration with skill in windows and Linux with Hana and Oracle database
- Hands on experience in client server and web application server
- Manage SAP users, licenses types, authorisations, and profiles.
- Configuring, monitoring, tuning, and troubleshooting the SAP technical environment on an ongoing basis as well as scheduling and executing the SAP transport system.
- Monitor all SAP systems (work processes, users, system logs, short dumps, locks, developer traces, system traces, disk space, etc.).
- Perform SAP client administration- create client, copy client, delete client as required.
- Develop and maintain system documentation for all SAP instances and interfaces.
- Should be able to create and restore data backups, database clean up.
- Should be able to monitor and manage the servers, background jobs, performance of the system.
- Implement and maintain the multiple SAP instances that comprise the SAP environment.
- Design and implement an optimal SAP configuration to maximise system performance and availability.
- Install and configure all required SAP database servers and application servers.
- Provide BASIS expertise in identifying issues in the system and possible ways to fix them.
- Analyse the performance of the production system and identify what issues are causing performance issues.
- Provide deep expertise and best practices to set up the system parameters and settings to run SAP smoothly.
- Perform HANA DB tuning
- Must have good exp of BASIS work in large organisations or implementation projects.
- HANA DB experience, especially in performance tuning.
- Knowledge in running SAP standard reports & notes for performance tuning and implementing them.
- Knowledge in fixing issues reported in memory dumps, system logs, and other performance-intensive areas.
Essential Requirements
- Bachelor s degree in computer science is required.
- 6+ years of SAP BASIS Admin experience.
- AWS/Azure/GCP Cloud knowledge.
- The ability to gather requirements from stakeholders, manage competing priorities, solve problems quickly, and work independently.
- Takes ownership and responsibility for one s own work and professional career development.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and technical support skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
