Engineering Manager @ Brilyant

Brilyant is looking to hire a seasoned Engineering Manager who is highly proficient in React, Node, Python, HTML, CSS and Databases. The candidate needs to manage technical needs of a 20 member team comprising experienced resources and college graduates. The candidate will be responsible for assessing technical needs of the new products built, frame the architecture and ensure the team delivers high quality solutions.

  Technical Leadership: Lead and manage a team of 20 engineers, providing technical guidance, mentoring, and hands-on coding support.

  Technology Stack: Own the decision-making process for choosing the right technology stack for various products, considering customer needs, scalability, maintainability, and performance.

  
  


• 
  

  Architecture Design: Frame and oversee the creation of architecture diagrams and ensure alignment with business and technical goals.

  
  


• 
  

  Project Management: Work closely with stakeholders to define project requirements, timelines, and deliverables. Ensure the team adheres to deadlines and produces high-quality work. Hands on knowledge of any of the project management tools like Jira will be an advantage.

  Hands-on Coding: Participate in coding to support the team in React, Node.js, Python, HTML, CSS, and database queries. PHP knowledge will be an added advantage.

  Quality Assurance: Ensure best practices in software development, including code reviews, testing, and maintaining coding standards.

  Resource Allocation: Efficiently allocate tasks and resources within the team to ensure optimal performance and delivery.

  Senior Leadership: Work closely with senior management in making decisions related to the product.

  
  

Requirements

• 
  

  Proven experience of 7-10 years as a hands-on Engineering Manager or Technical Lead.

  
  


• 
  

  Strong proficiency in React, Node.js, Python, HTML, CSS, and experience with databases (e.g., MySQL, MongoDB).

  
  


• 
  

  Experience leading teams that include both freshers and experienced professionals.

  
  


• 
  

  Experience working in a start up like environment.

  
  


• 
  

  Solid understanding of modern software development methodologies, including Agile and DevOps.

  
  


• 
  

  Experience designing scalable, high-performance systems and architecture.

  Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to handle complex technical challenges.

  Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
