Job Description
We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Automation Engineer with 5-8 years of hands-on expertise in Java and Selenium. You will play a critical role in building and maintaining scalable automation frameworks, mentoring junior testers, and driving quality engineering best practices across the team.
- Design, develop, and maintain advanced automation frameworks using Java, Selenium WebDriver, and TestNG/JUnit
- Build end-to-end test coverage for functional, regression, and integration testing
- Integrate test automation with CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI)
- Work closely with developers, QA leads, and product owners to understand requirements and define test strategies
- Conduct code reviews and mentor junior QA team members in best practices
- Own and drive automation initiatives across multiple product lines
- Analyze test results, debug failures, and ensure timely resolution of issues
- Maintain test documentation and generate test execution reports for stakeholders
Required Skills and Qualifications
- 5 to 8 years of experience in test automation with Java and Selenium
- Strong knowledge of automation design patterns and testing frameworks (TestNG, JUnit, Cucumber)
- Experience with Maven, Gradle, and version control tools like Git
- Hands-on experience with REST API testing (e.g., Postman, RestAssured)
- Deep understanding of CI/CD pipelines and integration tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI, etc.)
- Knowledge of web debugging tools and browser internals
- Solid grasp of Agile/Scrum methodologies
- Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and communication skills
