Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Cisco UCS
- Installing, configuring, and maintaining Cisco UCS hardware components like blade servers, chassis, fabric interconnects, and storage devices.
- Performing hardware upgrades, replacements, and troubleshooting hardware issues.
- Monitoring hardware health and performance metrics.
- UCS Manager Administration
- Utilizing the Cisco UCS Manager GUI or CLI to configure and manage all aspects of the UCS system, including server provisioning, fabric connectivity, storage allocation, and service profiles.
- Creating and managing service profiles to streamline server deployment and configuration.
- Implementing policies and role-based access control within UCS Manager.
- HPE Servers
- Installing, configuring, and maintaining HPEs server portfolio (like ProLiant, Synergy, and Apollo) hardware components like blade servers, chassis, fabric interconnects etc.
- Performing hardware upgrades, replacements, and troubleshooting hardware issues.
- Monitoring hardware health and performance metrics.
- Dell Servers
- Installing, configuring, and maintaining Dell PowerEdge servers (including rack, tower, modular, and specialty AI servers)
- Manage, troubleshoot using Dell Server Hardware Manager & Dell Diagnostic tool includes a Command Line Interface (CLI) for obtaining device status information, monitor logs & status of hardware components.
System Monitoring and Troubleshooting
- Actively monitoring Server Hardware system health, identifying potential issues through alerts and logs.
- Diagnosing and resolving system faults, including network connectivity, storage access, and server performance problems.
- Analyzing system performance metrics to identify bottlenecks and optimize resource utilization.
Technical Support:
- Providing technical support to internal teams on hardware issues related to Cisco UCS, HPE & Dell servers.
- Troubleshooting complex hardware problems and identifying root causes. Raise, Escalate and manage tickets to OEM support.
- Developing build / implementation documentation related to server hardware and POD solutions.
Security Management:
- Implementing security policies on the UCS, HP & Dell platform, including access controls, encryption, and firmware updates.
Hardware Validation and Testing:
- Developing and executing comprehensive test plans to validate hardware functionality and reliability.
- Identifying and resolving hardware defects through rigorous testing processes.
