Impact you will make
The Software Data Governance Lead is responsible for overseeing the entire data governance strategy within the Salesforce platform, ensuring data quality, compliance, and proper data usage by establishing policies, procedures, and standards specifically tailored to the Salesforce environment, while collaborating with data owners and stewards across the organization to maintain data integrity.
What you will do
- Ensure Data Governance practices are followed
- Review and analyze data across our Salesforce environment
- Collect, aggregate, and analyze complex data sets across our Salesforce environment identifying trends or patterns, areas of improvement, and root cause analysis to understand the trends/issues.
- Identify, investigate, and manage the resolution and escalation of data quality issues
- Perform ongoing data quality audits
- Creation and generation of reports and dashboards on various metrics both quantitative and qualitative in Excel, Salesforce, and other systems/tools
- Work with business stakeholders to prioritize business and information needs
- Import, export, clean, transform, and validate data
- Support with data validation, quality issues, integrity, accuracy, consistency, and works to resolve impacting issues related to data elements; de-duplication and cleaning
- Responsible for reviewing data requests, data analyses, transformation, and data uploads into the platform
- Ensuring all data migrations and data loads are completed in accordance with the process
- Salesforce.com admin support: User access administration, regular data loads, data validation
- Other duties as assigned
What you will bring
- 3+ experience in data analytics or data governance, with a strong focus on Salesforce administration and data management
practices, including experience managing data quality
- Good hands-on experience in MS SQL
- Salesforce.com database knowledge required; Expertise in Salesforce Administration and configuration preferred
- Strong understanding of data governance principles and best practices
- Data Quality, Data Governance, and Data Management experience required
- Strong analytical skills with ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information
- Knowledge of data quality tools and techniques
- Extremely detail-oriented with the ability to explain large amounts of information in a simple, organized manner
- Experience with Salesforce Dataloader
- Advanced knowledge of Excel; proficient in formulas, vlookups, pivot tables, macros
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Comfortable with MS Office, O365, SharePoint, especially Excel and VLookup
- Ability to interact with business partners and product managers
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple, parallel initiatives, and meet established deadlines
- Must be detail-oriented, have solid communication skills and strong problem-solving skills
