Experience Level: 5+ Years
We are seeking a highly experienced Node.js Backend Developer with advanced expertise in AWS cloud infrastructure and modern backend architecture. As a senior team member, youll play a pivotal role in designing and implementing highly scalable, resilient, and secure backend systems that power mission-critical applications. Youll also lead best practices, mentor developers, and collaborate across departments to push the boundaries of backend engineering.
Key Responsibilities:
- Architect and implement high-performance, low-latency APIs using Node.js, Express.js, and Mysql.
- Design, develop, and manage microservices-based and event-driven architectures.
- Build and maintain AWS-native solutions using EC2, Lambda, S3, API Gateway, SQS, CloudWatch, SNS, and more.
- Lead backend optimization for scalability, resilience, and security, especially for distributed and high-traffic systems.
- Implement message queues and pub-sub systems using Kafka, RabbitMQ, or AWS SQS.
- Develop and execute unit, integration, and performance tests for all backend services.
- Guide CI/CD strategy and automation pipelines in collaboration with DevOps teams.
- Write efficient and optimized SQL queries and stored procedures in MySQL or other relational databases.
- Ensure end-to-end system design, data protection, and security compliance.
- Perform code reviews, apply design patterns, and uphold engineering best practices.
- Lead efforts in monitoring, alerting, and system observability using tools like Datadog, Prometheus, or AWS CloudWatch.
- Collaborate in Agile/Scrum teams, and contribute to sprint planning, estimation, and retrospectives.
- Good knowledge of payment gateway like Razorpay
Preferred candidate profile
- 5+ years of backend development experience with Node.js and JavaScript.
- Strong hands-on experience with Express.js and RESTful API development.
- Expertise in AWS Cloud (especially EC2, S3, Lambda, API Gateway).
- Proficient with CI/CD pipelines, Git, and version control workflows.
- Experience with Microservices architecture and serverless architecture.
- Hands-on experience with GraphQL, Message Queues (e.g. Kafka, RabbitMQ, AWS SQS), and FCM.
- Strong understanding of SQL databases, especially MySQL, including writing and optimizing stored procedures.
- Solid understanding of system design, scalable architecture, and design patterns.
- Experience with Docker, containerization, and deployment practices is a plus.
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
- Experience with TypeScript in Node.js.
- Familiarity with infrastructure-as-code (e.g. Terraform, AWS CloudFormation).
- Experience with monitoring tools like Datadog, Prometheus, or CloudWatch.
- Familiarity with Mysql databases.
