Job Description
We are hiring Ground Surveyor for a Government Broadband Project- BharatNet project based in Fatehpur, Banda and Chitrakoot.
Job Title: Field Surveyor BharatNet Broadband Project (Uttar Pradesh)
CTC: upto 20K/month + Fuel reimbursement
Location: Fatehpur, Banda and Chitrakoot.
Project: BharatNet Government of Indias Rural Broadband Connectivity Initiative
Type: Contractual 3 months Contract
Reporting To: Team Leader
Job Overview:We are seeking skilled and dedicated Surveyors to support the implementation of the BharatNet project across rural areas in Uttar Pradesh. The Surveyor will be responsible for conducting on-ground surveys for laying optical fiber cable (OFC), preparing route maps, and coordinating with local authorities to ensure the feasibility and integrity of the project.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct detailed field surveys in assigned villages and Gram Panchayats to identify the optimal route for laying OFC.
- Use GPS devices, Total Station, and GIS tools to map the fiber route accurately.
- Prepare survey drawings, route maps, and detailed survey reports as per project guidelines.
- Liaise with local authorities, panchayats, and community stakeholders for access permissions and coordination.
- Assess terrain challenges, existing utilities (e.g., roads, culverts, power lines), and suggest suitable mitigation plans.
- Ensure adherence to project standards and documentation procedures.
- Provide regular updates and reports to the District Project Manager.
- Coordinate with the planning and execution teams for seamless project delivery.
Required Qualifications & Skills:
- Diploma/ITI/B.Tech/ Bsc. In Electronics & Communication or Telecommunication, Surveying, Geomatics, or a related field.
- Minimum 1-2 years of experience in field surveying, preferably in telecom or infrastructure projects.
- Proficiency in using GPS, Total Station, AutoCAD, and GIS mapping tools.
- Familiarity with BharatNet or rural broadband infrastructure projects is a strong advantage.
- Good communication skills in Hindi and basic knowledge of English.
- Willingness to travel extensively and work in rural and remote locations across districts in Uttar Pradesh.
- Physically fit and capable of conducting on-ground surveys in varying conditions.
Preferred Attributes:
- Knowledge of local geography and administrative divisions.
- Experience in working with government or public sector infrastructure projects.
- Problem-solving mindset and ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Compensation:
- Upto to 20,000 per month + Fuel Reimbursement, travel allowances and field expenses reimbursed as per policy.
