Job Description
Role & responsibilities
Application Engineer
Designs and develops product test procedures, methods and models for in field vehicle testing, and executes test sequences and evaluates results, to contribute to development of the system.
Job Role Description:
- Analyses specification of the system to be tested
- Plans and layouts specific test design and sequences, test equipment to be used for the specific brake system.
- Guides and directs qualified technician team on the set-up and performance of vehicle tests, including build in and preparation of test sensorics and analytics.
- Oversees whole test program and prioritizes test tasks.
- Documents and analyses the results and creates the respective reports.
- Provides technical support and advice to accountable development team.
- Acts as liaison with outside suppliers in establishing or modifying specifications for purchased items.
- Devises and applies testing procedures for parts or sub-assemblies received from outside vendors, or competitors.
- Participates in the development, maintenance and refinement of internal quality control and reliability program
Professional Experience:
- Hands on experience on commercial vehicle testing
- System Knowledge of Air Brake ABS, EBS, ADAS, Transmission, Steering
- Awareness of ECR13, IS11852, AIS 150 & other Automotive standards.

Task and Responsibility:
- Vehicle testing
- Brake system calculation
- Instrumentation and data Acquiring
- Homologation and Certification for vehicle level testing as per the IS 11852 or ECR 13
- Technical Release form application point
Key figures (KPI):
- Knowledge of vehicle testing with valid Commercial vehicle driving licence
- Knowledge of regulations
- Handling customers
- Brake system calculations
- Quality systems knowledge and process flow
- CAN protocol knowledge (J1939)
- Hand on experience on CAN tools Example: Vector, PCAN
