Group: Valuations IT (Custom Dev team)

Job Summary

Need a Strong SQL Developer with DDL, DML commands, tables, views
The Client Valuations IT team is building a platform which will be used by the Valuations and Asset Management teams for the daily, monthly, and quarterly marking of all Credit investments. We are seeking an experienced SQL developer join the team. This is a unique opportunity build a brand new platform, from the ground up.
Key Responsibilities
Development:
Write business logic with optimal performance approach in SQL
Apply costeffective algorithms design data structure
Recommend creative solutions, such as a different way process calculations
Build and debug applications, applying developmentled testing
Troubleshoot issues with a quick turnaround and accountability resolve the issue
Data Cleanup & Migration:
Dive in our data, gaining a deep understanding of our current data and data structure
Identify anomalies and propose cleanup exercises undertake in advance of data migration new custom build
Ensure data integrity and accuracy by implementing best practices and working with QA team validate migration efforts during testing cycles and at release
Collaboration and Communication:
Work closely with onshore and offshore developers, QA, infrastructure, data analysts, and other team members build successful product
Proactively ask questions about the requirements or business needs
Clearly and concisely communicate complex data insights nontechnical stakeholders
Stay organized by updating the Azure Boards ticketing system and track status updates for our deliverables
Continuous Improvement:
Stay uptodate with the latest trends and best practices
Continuously seek opportunities improve valuations processes and tools
Qualifications
Education:
Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Science, or a related field
Masters degree is a plus
Experience:
Minimum of 5 years of experience
Must have strong SQL server experience in query building be used in DB side / app data layers
libraries as well as working on cloud dbs
Experience handling huge data sets, performance optimization, and debugging techniques
Experience building cloud native applications, i.e. have experience in building Microservices, Function apps, Cloud DB etc. mainly on Microsoft tech stack is a plus
Technical Skills:
Expertise in writing business logic with optimal performance approach in SQL
Experience in database design and development with SQL server (DDL, DML commands, tables, views,
stored procedures, functions, indexes, Dynamic SQL),
Good knowledge in integration services, reporting platforms, and workflow platforms
Domain Knowledge:
Relevant experience at a financial services firm
Base understanding of valuations approaches, key terms (discount rates, cap rates, exit multiples), and
common calculations (FMV, MTM, PnL) is a plus
Soft Skills:
Excellent analytical and problemsolving skills
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability work independently and as part of a team
Attention detail and a commitment delivering highquality work
