Pre-sales Solutions Architect @ Orion Systems

Job Description

Job Overview:We are looking for an energetic and proactive Pre-Sales Solutions Architect with a strong foundation in Microsoft technologies. You will partner with sales and technical teams to design compelling, customer-centric solutions, lead technical engagements, and drive proposal responses with clarity and precision whether through writing, drawing, or presenting.

Role & responsibilities:

• Engage clients to capture requirements and define solution objectives.
• Drive new capability sales and support customer acquisition.
• Research, prototype, and validate technical feasibility.
• Define architecture, solution strategy, and technology stack.
• Estimate effort and delivery models with internal teams.
• Prepare concise solution documentation with clear value articulation.
• Align solutions with internal stakeholders for feasibility.
• Support sales in presenting solutions and handling technical queries.
• Lead bid defenses and customer workshops.
• Refine solutions based on feedback to drive closures.
• Build reusable assets, templates, and case studies.
• Lead strategic technical conversations as a trusted advisor.

Preferred candidate profile

• Microsoft Azure (IaaS, PaaS, App Services, Logic Apps, API Management)
• .NET Core, C#, Azure DevOps, GitHub
• Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI)
• Microsoft 365, Dynamics 365, SharePoint
• Architecture Design (HLD/LLD, Diagrams, Solution Blueprinting)
• RFP/RFI Response Management
• Estimation & Costing Models
• Presentation & Whiteboarding Skills
• Industry/Domain Knowledge (nice to have)

Qualifications:

• Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
• 8+ years in solution architecture or technical pre-sales roles
• Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert or similar certifications
